The days are ticking down until the arrival of our sweet girl. She will be here in just three weeks. One major thing that has been checked off of my nesting to-do list is the nursery. It is finally finished! It turned out just as I had hoped. And yes, I know there is no pink. And yes, it is a little girl’s room. But, don’t worry: all the pink in her closet makes it all balance out. For those that are curious, here are some of the details. My husband did the wonderful paint job, including the crisp stripes. The day-bed, crib, diaper cart and shelves came from Ikea. The dresser is a hand-me-down that we painted. I made the elephant mobile, the artwork, letters, and the little felt elephant on the bed. The crib and daybed bedding are a combination of Target and online purchases. Lastly, the beautiful blanket on the end of the crib was made by sweet family friend. Enjoy the photos and hopefully Emerson will come soon now that her room is ready.
It’s beautiful!!!
Kelsey this looks amazing!!! Can I ask what gray you used? I’ve got 3 different shades painted in strips on out walls trying to pick out the perfect one, I love this!
Alicia, we had a really hard time finding the right shade. We actually ended up taking a fabric swatch and having Lowe’s custom mix the paint to match it.
I know this is an old post, but this is the exact look I am putting together for my little boy’s nursery! Is the crib the IKEA sundvik? I have the IKEA Sundvik crib, but heard that standrard crib skirts won’t fit. Did you have any issues using a crib skirt or bumpers? Thanks!
Yes, the crib is from Ikea. I didn’t have have any issues with the bumpers or skirt. We already had a mattress, but if we hadn’t I would have gotten one that fit a little more snug.
