Our Forever House: Emerson’s Gray Chevron Nursery

The days are ticking down until the arrival of our sweet girl. She will be here in just three weeks. One major thing that has been checked off of my nesting to-do list is the nursery. It is finally finished! It turned out just as I had hoped. And yes, I know there is no pink. And yes, it is a little girl’s room. But, don’t worry: all the pink in her closet makes it all balance out. For those that are curious, here are some of the details. My husband did the wonderful paint job, including the crisp stripes. The day-bed, crib, diaper cart and shelves came from Ikea. The dresser is a hand-me-down that we painted. I made the elephant mobile, the artwork, letters, and the little felt elephant on the bed. The crib and daybed bedding are a combination of Target and online purchases. Lastly, the beautiful blanket on the end of the crib was made by sweet family friend. Enjoy the photos and hopefully Emerson will come soon now that her room is ready. 2014-01-31_0002.jpg
